I've tried PPV (CPV) long time ago and was unsuccessful with trying to use it for CPA. I am curious to try it again but with promoting my own product. Does anyone have success with it in 2024? This is where for your ads to appear as popups on sites that you can target. I haven't done it in years and don't know what current networks allow.

In my case I want to know if networks would allow running this kind of ads. Lets say my niche is bananas and there is online supermarket that sells them for $1 per kilo. I want to show my popup ad advertising same bananas for $0.80. When visitor comes to banana product page it will display popup for my bananas advertised at lower price. If they click on my popup it takes them to my online supermarket where I sell bananas for $0.80

Is this still doable in 2024?

Popups most of the time only work when there is a aggressive funnel behind it (example: Virus Alert, Dating, etc.) - It also relies heavily on the Advertising Network you are trying to work with as you have to sort out through bad zones to filter out the bots. You should just give it a go and see if it works for your offer, but don't expect wonders.

Thanks for the response. Do you think Price Alert would be a good way to get attention? Since you mention that Virus Alert popups are profitable what about Price Alerts?

I cannot really tell you as i have never promoted anything in regards to Price Alerts. One thing you have to keep in mind that PopAds are mostly untargetted. On some Ad Networks you can target by Category, Age, Device, Browser etc., but you will never know the users true intention, which also makes PopAds so unpredictable. The key to PopAds is to get the users attention fast, which is why things like AV can work well with them. You can make everything work, but you gotta test and find out for yourself. I can't tell you if your offer is good as this depends on a lot of factors such as: Traffic Quality, Offer, Funnel, Bot Ratio etc. - So just test it and try it out.
