Hi,

I just started up my webshop and was wondering if anyone here was a PPC expert?

I am rapidly losing money with Google Adwords. Are there any techniques anyone can share for making it profitable?

Yeah, stop all your campaigns and read some books. There's no quick fix. I have absolutely no idea what you're promoting but I'd bet it's for "make money" ebooks.

pdaguy9, hi there if you want any help with pay per click then fire away with your questions as that's what l do nearly full time researching and preparing pay per click campaigns regards nicho

I tried PPC marketing myself and am like you. Lost my butt. Take the advice and stop everything....then study, test, study some more, test some more.

I first have to ask what it is that you're trying to do?

If you're trying to sell directly on a click by click basis, then you have a lot to learn. What you need to do is capture leads or have an amazing site that people will be coming back to after their first exposure. The safe bet is using a landing page to capture emails, then you have more chances to sell.

You really need to use targeted keywords in your campaign and group the similar ones into smaller ad groups. Use the keyword in the ad's headline.

Education and Information is key.

I have a ton of resources you may have if you want to
contact me, I can upload them for you to download. It
sounds like your having a rough time, so you need to stop
and get educated before you go tubes out.

Depending on your niche you can stop your campaign all together and spend some time to educate yourself or you can un-check both content network and search network options to raise your CTR while analyzing your data

I was in the same situation a year or so ago. Lost gobs of money with adwords trying to compete on expensive kw's.

Now I'm running things a bit differently. I not only run campaigns for some of my own stuff, but some for clients as well. It's getting better by the day. But as others have pointed out, it's best to shut down those losing campaigns and do some research before getting them going again.

I'll try to post more specific information in another post, if I think it might be beneficial.

Best regards,
Sine

Invest in an affiliate program/script, fuck adwords, if you want my opinion work on making your webshop amazing, since your selling stuff (i.e the shop) im sure you are, id invest in an affiliate script idevdirect.com or something has an easy one to setup.

Then id offer some percentage to your affiliates for sales.
Then instead of promoting your shop by adwords, promote your affiliate program :) There for saving yourself a ton of clicks :)

Sorry maybe just me being me, but thats what i would do. One affiliate could send more than $1000 of clicks easily, and him signing up to your affiliate program could cost 5cents lol :)

And atleast you only pay him a percentage :P

pdaguy9,
I was in that boat too for a while. Just do as the guys above suggest and shut down until you bone up on the reading. Then get back in slooowly. Like the ad 'it wont happen over night, but it will happen.

If your CTR is really low for the whole campaign, you may just want to kill it and start fresh once you've done a bit more research. That low CTR is going to count against you and cost you more per click.

Thanks guys but my original post was over 2 months ago. Since then I have read a lot and learned a lot and have gotten this campaign into the black.
