Hello, title says it all, almost. I couldn't find the full answer.

I'm wondering if power of backlinks pointing to:
    exampledomain.com
    Works for:
    subdomain1.exampledomain.com
    And:
    subdomain2.exampledomain.com

Second question, does power of backlinks linking to:
    subdomain1.exampledomain.com
    Work for:
    subdomain2.exampledomain.com
    And:
    exampledomain.com

If i've confused u, im asking if backlinks going to domain will work for all its subdomains and vice versa, if links going to one subdomain will work for other subdomains and its main domain?

    Greetings!

In general - try not to use subdomains if you are trying to get the best SEO. You want to build backlinks to the domain where you want traffic/rankings. I know that Matt Cutts claimed that linking to the main domain will boost the SEO rank of subdomain, but many SEO "experts" have tested this with varied results.

Some people even have the opposite mindset - that having subdomains actually will damage your SEO for the root domain. Let's say you have a blog on your site, and you turn the blog into a subdomain like blog.domain.com - this can have a negative impact on trying to rank/gain traffic for your domain.com site

So really, the best solution is to try out a few tests of your own. Try out having subdomains, pointing links to them, and check the metrics/rankings/traffic of your root domain and see if there's any changes over time

    Yes definitely,

    It will work vice versa.

Because each subdomain has the main domain in its URL, it ties all subdomain sites back to the main domain, which would have more corporate information and promotion of each subdomain

i think google treat each domain and sub domain as standalone site, so it wont help

if the backlink on main domain will help subdomain like the way you mention, then you will see all the big site having 100s of subdomains
