Potentially untapped niche similar to the r/askreddit videos

I see those r/askreddit videos in my suggestions quite a lot and I was thinking, there is an untapped niche here.

Has anybody ever heard of Quora? It is kind of similar where people can ask a question and strangers answer it.

So if people were to make videos in the same format as those r/askreddit videos but from quora.com instead, they might gain the same kind of viewership due to it being similar but not exploited yet.

Not a bad idea, but you'll probably need to have a channel that's already monetized first (may set you back anywhere from $375-$575 the way the current market is looking). I don't think YouTube is allowing these types of TTS channels through to the YPP anymore, I've seen some monetization rejections due to "reused" or "repetitious content"... though many of the big askreddit channels (e.g. toadfilms, reddify, etc) are still up and monetized. But I'd love to see your progress if you did go down this route :)

Also, afaik, askreddit seems to be a little more whimsical and lighthearted than quora, so you might consider that too

Do youtube accept that kind of videos to get monetized?

You can just read them yourself.

I don't know if those channels are monetized.

I'm also thinking of creating a channel like toadfilmes, is it a good idea? I heard divided opinions on this some said Youtube monetize TTS channels and some said they are not.

But if they are not monetizing it, how those " r/askreddit + TAA" channels keep on appearing on the surface? whether the old ones or the new ones?

True! Might turn off some people who are so used to the TTS format, but maybe not :p

Where have you seen that TTS channels are being monetized? In my experience, those channels aren't getting monetized anymore... but the old ones remain monetized (you can see ads before their videos). Is it fair? Nope! It's YouTube :)

The Search Volumes will be low and if you want to make a good video it will take atleast $100 unless they are auto generated slide videos. i don't think its a cost effective idea.

What do you mean it will take $100 for a good video?

I got an ad on this one, and it looks like there's like 6 throughout the video:

    So how? they use TTS.

Also why I no longer see those yellow points that indicates this video has ads? It's not just this video but a lot of YT videos in general. Did YT change this our there's something in my browser? I checked on Chrome AND Firefox.

I think it's a new yt update, they hide the yellow points.

Yes, the video has ads on it, but when I checked other videos from the same channel didn't noticed any ads even I refreshed the page 3-4 times

It was probably monetized before YouTube got strict with this kind of channel. That's may guess, anyway
