Hi, I have a business page. This page (as the rest of pages I manage) have only organic + paid fans. No black hat methods. Real fans, real people and it took many years to reach 60.000 fans.
The reach in the last months was ~2000 / 5000 people per post, so it was ~6% - 8% of total fans count. That was bad, but still good compared to what I have now.

Since 2 weeks the reach is 0,4% (250 people) and rarely it reaches 1% (610 people).
Am I the first victim of the new FB plans to decrease the reach to 0? (For my 1% is the same az 0%).

Anybody else noticed this behavior? I thought it may be a temporary issue, but 2 weeks is far too long. I am waiting too much and I am thinking this is the way they want FB to work. I am wondering whether Google Plus is the right alternative to FB?!

I have 4 pages, and 2 of them are completely dead. Out of +150k likes on each page, posts have reach belor 200 (for links) and below 500 (pictures). The other ones still have 3-8%, but that's not great either.

Wondering if it is a temporary issue or really we have to change social site :/
I can see how much money I wasted in buying FB ads to collect fans. There was no point.

I definitely noticed a drop. I have been trying to schedule posts at a different time, and the frequency but I haven't been able to get engagement back up. As late as February I was killing it, now I'm only getting a few 100.

I heard some things about Facebook doing this to encourage fanpage owners to "boost" their posts. I hope not because I have legit fans that I either paid for through facebook ads or organic and I should not have to fork over anymore dough.

Hopefully this will pass in a few weeks.

I am not the best marketing expert, but if they do it for the reason you mentioned "to encourage fanpage owners to "boost" their posts", it is doing the opposite effect to me. Before, when the reach was good I was paying ads for important things. Now, in the last two weeks with less than 1% reach I am paying ads much less and for many less posts.
I really hope it will be back again. And I started to use more often Instagram and Google Plus... never know what FB management will decide :/

For sure what sucks is the fact that some pages got a low reach and others (similar for everything) didn't get affected. Or they lower it for everybody or for nobody.

the did this 2-3months ago. They say nothing has changed in the official statements, but yeah... lol..
Mashable also said they will remove the boost option in March/April, and the reach would be back, but let's pray.

There is no temporary issues. I had 3 pages with 500k original traffic. All going well and suddenly one day my 2 pages are dead totally. Don't know why ?? But... :juggle: Its all the Facebook game buddy.

That gives a hope. Do you have the link to that Mashable article handy? Maybe you can share it?
    Thanks

I have no experience on that. But I know that here in Europe the law takes years and tens of years to give a resolution (positive or negative).
I think it's better for USA people to do it. I think there are good chances to win it... people paid Facebook ads to collect fans (in order to show them the posts from pages).... but what for if only 0,6% of the people see them?!

I saw something mentioned somewhere that facebook was decreasing reach for large fan pages. 1% sounded about right, they want you to buy ads.
