my eCommerce site has no reviews on the products, sites been live for 6 months now.

Can i write a bunch of reviews and change the dates so it looks like they've been wrote over the 6 months?

Will google take action against this?

I'm doing it so they appear in the search feed and so people can see we've been trading for a while

Better put the reviews, but not with dates. That means just dont put any date on the reviews :)
if u r going to put a LOT of reviews, then do it slowly, not put all them at once.

For an ecommerce site, trust is very important. I do not think the review will work so well. Because honesty is one of the most fundamental need for making good buisinesses

the problem is i haven't been getting any, my competitors have 70+ on each product. It's my own fault i should have been doing this ages ago.

turning the date off inst a bad idea as long as it wont effect how google trust it

maybe il just start doing 3-5 each day with no date on each product, should build up in no time
