Posting on Sales Thread

Anyone else who buys services find is frustrating when the seller asks you to post on the thread before the order has even been delivered? Would it not make more sense to ask after they have delivered the order and you have had chance to review the service they have provided if you wish to do so?

From Their Perspective they Want To Show Would be Buyers that thy are are already People Buying their Service and of course to get more Sales who don't want to ?

They are Asking you to post not forcing you which is quite okay with me if i were the buyer

It is so that they can bump the thread and make their offers.
I believe it started after the new marketplace rules were put into place.

They can get infractions if they bump their own threads.

Helps to track orders as well...some people do not have websites that handle the service registration, etc - and use it as a checks and balances system.

Does it really frustrate you that much?

It's a strategy to get bump and reply count to their sales thread. You can always just pm them if you dont want to bump their thread.

I also say my buyer to post on the thread. But only when they have purchased and I have delivered them . Just to show that my thread is active and am getting sales .

Theres actually a few legit reasons sellers do this besides the bumps, the most important one is that some time ago guys were going round ordering services using other members names then charging back so if the client has publicly posted they have ordered and shit gos sour you can point out to a mod or whoever that they did indeed order.

Besides that its also nice to show buyer confidence really isn't it? I mean if no one posted they have just bought then threads would appear dead as if no one was ordering.

If you don't like it then simply decline, a seller shouldn't mind if you decline but shoot them a pm instead to confirm its you that has ordered!

its something to refer back to, a date the signed up if any issue arise .

I've been a buyer of a few services on BHW and for me I like to post on the tread as soon as I have ordered, that way it gives an extra layer of protection and something to refer back to if needed.

It's also a way to be able to contact the person via PM should you need to discuss things further about their order. Even if they give you their BHW user name, it's sometimes a challenge to find that persons profile (no the search feature is not that helpful if this person hasn't started/replied to many threads on the forum), this way you can quickly click the name in the thread and send your message.

Another thing is when you respond to a sales page. You will automatically subscribed to that thread. So if there's any important update that the seller announce on his thread you are always updated.
