    Hi,

    This might be a daft question, but if i wanted to start creating a Pintrest, Tumblr, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages for my blog and i used the content on my site on the social sites (which rank higher than me).....Would google not see this as duplicate content?

    Sorry if that is a completey stupid question!

    Thanks in advance!

    If your social medias & sites are related, Google will understand, as long as you put the right rel on your website;
    beside that, it really depends on what content you're talking about.

    Well basically a small part of my site will be food recipes, so i want to put them on my site, but in order to push them out there and promote my site i was going to publish those same recipes on social media? Would that be ok, or do you think it is better to post unqiue recipes to the social media pages that differ to my blog/site?

    Would work I guess. If you post them on Facebook + Pinterest it will drive traffic to your site ultimately.
    I'd be a bit vicious and only posting 75% of them and putting a link to the whole recipe on your site. It will drive social signal + traffic. Quality traffic.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

    Hi!

    It's great that you wanna publish the posts you've inserted on your blog. Sharing posts on social media is also gonna send social signs to search engines which is yet another useful tactic.

    Always share your content on social media while at the same time galvanizing others to do so. You should also add plugins to your blog so as to ease the sharing process.

    Check this link to see examples!

    Cheers!

    No problem at all, actually it helps :) You can post your content anywhere, just have a backlink to your original content to get maximum benefit.
