Let's say you have a small business site and you put out one high quality article a month, would upping it to two articles a month make any difference?

I feel like after quality, links are the most important ranking factor.

So I'm curious if putting out more frequent articles make any difference at all or if the only difference would really be in quality links and number of links?

    Thanks

yes. real business scan competitors news and have alarms for events in their niche etc to make sure they will post first.

theres a lot of direct and indirect benefits from posting good shit regullary.

i never did whitehat thing my entire life but i believe scanning for events in some whitehat niche (and then ranking in it) would be much fun

make sure people search for what u write.

That makes sense but I also mean for a business as opposed to something like a news organization. So for example if you're an online retail company or work in an engineering products business, etc.

It depends, if you put them both up at the same time. It'll do you no good, but if you put 1 article up every 2 weeks, you'll make your website appear fresh, which is a strong signal these days as well as increase your crawl rate drastically.

Monthly 1 article is too long. 1 article per 5 days is good with quality links.

I would rather invest the energy into one well researched article with targeted keyword for my audience, then spread myself into 2 mediocre articles, especially if you are short on time.

I totally agree with you on this matter. One thing I might add, go back and update articles if there is a shift in the topic. That might be easier than writing a new article that has new information on an existing topic.

It would make exactly zero difference.

1 or 2 articles monthly is not difference. I would like to focus on the quality than quantity.

Entire "Keep the site fresh" means close to nothing for ranking purposes. You get crawled more often and indexed faster, but besides that, you sure as hell won't get any ranking boost for how often you add new content.

Amount of the content matters of course, so the difference between posting 1 article a week or 2 articles a week will be, that in a year, you will have significantly larger site. That will help. But the difference between posting all articles in a month or posting them over the year will be none when it comes to serps.

Better to use 5 to 8 articles per month which must have more quality and very low keyword stuffing.
