Possible to redirect any given website to my URL?

I'm not trying to hack Amazon or whatever. This is my question:

I have a very high ranking listing from a social media website that comes up '404 Page Not Found' when clicked. It is to MY content on a social website like myspace or whatever.

Is it possible to redirect that address to any specific URL I own?

What would the ramifications be?

Following this logic, could I go in and change all I wish as long as they are directed away from, say MY you tube video or whatever?

It's not clear what you're asking. It's coming up 404 on your site? If so, why is there a link pointing to a non-existing on your site?

what social media website are you asking? perhaps more detail will let us know the problem that you're facing

I think this is an attempt to collect on the hacker/backdoor traffic pinging the error page. If that's the case, that's traffic that isn't going to do any good because it is freebie hunters or people that made it there by just what the page says...error.

To answer the question, you would be booted from those services because they don't allow redirecting like that, even from a page of this type. You willbe banned and put your own site that you redirect to at risk of being reported and/or hacked as well for swiping traffic in this manner, not to mention the wrong type of traffic to your site that may have a product or service of interest to them as well.

It's bad all the way around.

only if you can put an iframe or popup something that can redirect visitors to your page

if your 404 page is customized, you can iFrame your site inside that page.
