Possible to rank without any repins

Is it possible for pins to rank without any repins or engagement? For example, what if there are 100 unique and very high quality photos added, won't they eventually get viewed by real users organically who would repin them anyway? Does pinterest show some newly created content to users anyway to test out the engagement rate on it to help surface new content?

Another question, what would happen if I added a million pins per day spread across 50,000 accounts? Each pin would be unique and high quality. Would I get any traffic through this method? If so, how much do you expect?

Of course it does same is Facebook or Instagram.
It will show it to them but ir more depends how active are you on Pinterest and whats the overall quality of your profile.

For the second question.
Why dont you aim for QUALITY instead of quantity?
Create 10 pins but high quality

They are a 25% possibility that your pin is going to rank if the pin was keyword optimized properly.

The page, board and pin need to be keyword optimized if you want the pin to rank.
If you get these things right your pin is going to rank but it won't be instant, it will take like 3 to 5 days for your pins to be indexed. Also, you can post video pins, this type of pin ranks faster these days.
