I wasn't sure on where exactly to post this, but i'm trying to promote CPA offers, so here it goes..

I've been reading various threads talking about promoting CPA offers via passing out flyers or putting them on car windshields. That to me says "leg-work," and i'm not big on that because I don't want to pay to have it outsourced, and I don't want to do it myself in this blistering heat.

    So I thought..

I work for a rather large company delivering food.

Each time we send out an item, we also send out an attached flyer with the items saying our specials for the month, etc.

    1) What if I were to attach a related CPA offer flyer to said items i'm delivering (along with the companies flyer to make it seem natural)?

    2) I have direct access to names and addresses, what if I built a mailing list, built my own flyers, and paid to have them mass-mailed?

This idea can go many different ways with many different twists I feel like. The demographic also covers low-middle-high class, so I could even split up the CPA offers.

Any ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance guys.

A friend of mine actually went to these places which deliver food and talked to the owners, and convinced them to deliver his offers with their food. They were more than happy to oblidge because he paid them a few hundred dollars each month. So I say talk to your boss and let him know what's up. Don't be afraid to spill the beans and give away all of your method, he probably won't have a $#*@*$ clue how to do it on his own and will be interested in the increase of revenue you'll both share.

The method sounds decent, but I wouldnt risk my day job. The company vary well might fire you if they find out you soliciting your own biz on their dime. So I would definitely discuss with boss/owner first.

Beautiful idea, but the company I work for is on the larger side, a few hundred dollars wouldn't matter to them.

This was a concern of mine, but I am friends/have been friends with my current boss. The company in question is franchised for the store that I work at, so I wonder if the consequences may be less.. maybe just a slap on the wrist if I get caught.

The way I look at it, the people who may report me are the people who are secret shoppers for the presentation of said food.. are they really going to notice an extra small flyer .. that I could photoshop the company logo on?

C'mon fellas.. this is BHW after all. :D

I would go with option #2

Option #1... Though I think there is a low risk of getting caught if done properly I feel it will likely result in the termination of your job.

Option 2 is definitely much safer but there is less reward I feel. A lot of people throw away/discard mailers quite easily.

I'd say 3/4 of the time, a person is likely to look at the flyer on the items we send them. Slip another flyer under that or next to it, its bound to get attention.

    Risk vs reward

Both. You can do the first legitly if you ask. If that fails, then 2 is the fallback.

Maybe i'll approach it a more legit way to my boss, such as "can I pass out a couple flyers to promote my lawn mowing business?" and go from there.

Does anyone know who will send out mass mail for me if I had a list of addresses and my own fliers?

If you ask to handout lawn mowing flyers, you better pass out some on your first run or you run the risk of getting caught lying and getting canned.

just do it and don't get caught ? lol it's not hard to get another delivery boy job if you get shitcanned.

on a more serious note, i'm going to start talking to owners of food shitholes that deliver and lowball the fuck out of them and see if i can get any like $100/month contracts to have them pass a flyer with each pizza or sandwich or whatever. shit a free ipad email submit would probably convert fairly decent or a credit report or biz op WHO KNOWS....

Not a bad idea. Pass out some fake flyers for like a week or 2, then wait a week or 2 and see if anything happens.

    Thanks for the thought.
