Straight up genius move - they make this commercial knowing they won't allow it and land major press for getting rejected even though it's not risque.

For the people that do not understand the commercial. It is simple. The commercial itself doenst make any sense. However pornhub produced this commercial, knowing it was squeaky squeaky clean. They knew it would be banned and thus go Viral. Afterall, all us noobs love banned commercials b/c we think it is naughty or "bad," so we want to watch it.

Considering it's called "pornhub's banned commercial," any guy who doesnt know what pornhub is, will want to know right away.

I think your missing the point, it is intentionally bad. They wanted to make the most legitimate, non-sexual and as techfan says "squeaky clean" commercial that was possible. So that it would spark all of this controversy and thus get them free press. Since it's now taken down for those that didn't see it was only 21 seconds and superbowl commercials are purchased in 30 second slots. That and the porn connection was pretty much a guarantee they wouldn't get it approved.
