I direct a lot of traffic to my websites from Twitter (news) and what I'm wanting to do is have a pop up which displays the CPA Email Submit Offer in that popup. Of course, a lot of people will just click X at the top right of the small popup and carry on surfing, but as I get up to 20,000 visits a day, I'm thinking even if only 1% enter their email, it's still $20-$30 a day (some I've found offer closer to $1.50 per submit).

Which do you think is the best method?

A: As above. The Email Submit is in the popup so they either submit their email or click X and close it.

B: Have it something like 'Win a Free I-pad' and every submitted email is added to my database which I can then send CPAs to in the future, depending on their interests.

C: Mix the 2 above up. Do B first and once I have their email, direct them to the offer in A.

    D: Something else? (Please state)

I've tried popunders but they don't seem to convert well at all. So far anyway. I've had like 400+ views and not 1 person entered their email. I even used a PHP Geoscript so that the people who saw the offers were in that country. Still no luck.

Well you need to take different approach for both of them, if you want long term profit I would say pick "B" however be ready to not see conversion rate as you would doing "A". Yes there will be less conversions when you will grab emails but it will be much profitable for you on long term.

If I would have been in your place, I would have grabbed email first with an angle of "free ipad" or something you could come up as you need to be a bit creative here also. And when they submit email, just shoot them an email instantly saying...
"one last step to get your ipad blah blah blah......"

or wait for 24 hours and then shoot them that they have been selected and can grab an ipad from {link}.....

on the other hand if you think you will always have this amount of traffic and you should make quick bucks instead of all this hassle then you can always go for first one.... ;)

    Thanks for the reply Daisy.

I tried to go along with the download here:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...n-opt-empire-e-mail-submits-guide-script.html

But even though I went through the instructions and changed everything it wouldn't work - just kept spitting out PHP characters on the page and wouldn't add the details to the database.

A bit crap really, as that would have got me on the way to doing option B.

Would you or anybody else be prepared to have a look at the set up I did and try and spot the problem? The database settings were changed in connect.php and it even said the table had been correctly setup!

I recently bought Pippity (Google it) which seems good if you want more than 1 popup on a website. For instance a different popup for each category on your site. You can also do split-testing and connect any Email Marketing software (I use Interspire) to it.

Yeah that's what I'm now doing, started it yesterday.

I collect information such as country, interests, age etc, so the next case will be working on the right offers to send people and the right way to structure the emails.
