I have a large network of sites that were hit by Panda. I've now gotten rankings back for most of them, but not to the same level.

My main money site was #1 for almost a year. Panda dropped it to #22, I've got it back to between #2 and #4 most of the time. Occasionally it drops much further, but then comes back to #2-4.

Here's the question:
I want to do something to get the money site back to #1, but don't want to risk it dropping further. And because this network is adult, I'm limited in what I can do.
What would you do?

1. Blast the money site with SB or Xrumer.
2. Build more backlinks (Angela and Paul, for example) to the money site.
3. Blast some of the second level sites (which are #5-#15 for their main keywords).
4. Build more backlinks to the second level sites.
5. Blast some of the third level sites.
6. Build more backlinks to the third level sites.

Would love to see a consensus or at least hear some opinions :)

Can you add fresh content? I had a site that dropped from position #79 to #556, but once I added new posts it went to position # 48.

I would go for ALL the above-mentioned points except no.1

Don't blast the money site. You will lose the rankings further. Try to get more authority and look into on page seo. On-Page SEO is now bigger than before.

I already did add a lot of fresh content, it helped me get back up to where I am now. Been thinking of adding more - but the site I'm trying to take down is there on the strength of backlinks (it's a topsite, it lives and dies by backlinks from related sites).

On my second level sites, I added tons of new content in the form of blogs - 1/3 went up, 1/3 went down, 1/3 stayed the same. So I'm a little sketchy on adding even more fresh content to the money site - so content isn't always the best answer, even though I thought it would be lol.

Thanks, that was my initial gut feeling - my only hesitation is that there's good money in my second-level sites' keywords too, and I don't want to sacrifice them if I don't have to; I've been trying to get them up to the top also. That's why I included the third-level sites options.
On-page SEO is fine - that's the strength I had from the start ;)

A combination of at least a few of the above. My sites seem to jump the most when I diversify amongst the methods that you have mentioned.

Anyone have any thoughts about how much juice you'd get for your money site, by blasting a few third-level sites? Seems safest, not sure how effective though.

1. Blast the money site with SB or Xrumer. Never ever do this!!
2. Build more backlinks (Angela and Paul, for example) to the money site. Psiible if it is HQ backlinks, it takes time and money
3. Blast some of the second level sites (which are #5-#15 for their main keywords). Possible, would go with this instead of the first two
4. Build more backlinks to the second level sites.Possible, would go with this instead of the first two
5. Blast some of the third level sites.Possible, would go with this instead of the first two
6. Build more backlinks to the third level sites.I wouldn't do that, waist of time

I think you should focus on the website itself. ad content ad content ad content. that way Google will respect the website again. It shows you website ads uniek content to the web.

Well, if you don't want to blast your second tier sites then you should blast the 3rd tier first and then blast 2nd tier ( smaller blasts ) while blasting 3rd tier.

That's my thinking, thanks - wondering if anyone has seen negative results when blasting second-level sites in a situation similar to this.
