Podcasting Journey $0 to $50k/month
Hey everyone Andre Youkhna here from datafeed , hope all is well! Just letting you all know I am starting a new podcast journey and I want all of you guys to hold me accountable and give me feedback. I currently have 4k subs on youtube and no listeners on any other platforms, although I'm in the process on getting on them within the next couple of days.
I know podcasting can be super rewarding if you have the right audience and bring the right content. My goal is to grow my audience and make sure I'm giving you guys great content!
I'll be posting here on a biweekly basis keeping everyone up to date! I'll give you guys screenshots of my listeners and cash flow! Don't hesitate to criticize the work or ask me any questions. Looking forward to getting started.
Datafeed hosted by Andre Youkhna and Gerald Benjamin, is one of the best business podcasts entrepreneurs can listen to. Each episode features tips on social marketing, SEO, search marketing, copywriting, affiliate marketing, and more! This podcast focuses a lot on not only starting a business, but finding a purpose and a vision that’s “so big you can’t do it alone.”
So as of right now starting from scratch I am sponsored by Anchor. Where they pay a CPM of $10. Compared to Youtube where they pay $2 for CPM. Once I build a large audience I plan on reaching out to bigger companies and working with them.
Here's a quote from Tim Ferriss a large podcaster and he said
“Premium podcasts tend to charge between $25-100 CPM. By “premium,” I mean high-converting, (often) single-host (due to Oprah-like sales impact), iTunes top-50 podcasts.
Let’s look at some numbers. If you can hypothetically guarantee 100,000 downloads per episode, as measured at six weeks post-publication (which seems standard for some odd reason), here is how the math shakes out at different CPM rates:
$50 CPM x 100,000 = 50 x 100 = $5,000 per sponsor per episode
$75 CPM x 100,000 = $7,500 per sponsor per episode
$100 CPM x 100,000 = $10,000 per sponsor per episode
Now, if a podcaster can guarantee 500,000 or 1M downloads/listens, you can see how the numbers add up."

Again I'll be posting on this thread frequently keeping everyone up to date on our progress.
Thank you all for your time!
New Episode uploaded!
Our numbers are really starting to pick up. Yesterday we had just over 30 listeners and today we're over 100.
Click here for our new Episode!
Quick little update. We've gone from 0 Plays to 53... and 0 audience to 18 in 3 days. We're starting our blog posts and social media marketing very soon so hopefully these numbers will move up.
As far as youtube goes I used an old account I had used for live streaming games... I had about 5k subs since I went inactive my sub count dropped to about 4k.
Now that I'm posting podcasts about business, and not gaming the remainder are leaving while others stay.
I'll update you guys further. But moral of the story this is going to be a long journey.
Hey guys! I have not forgotten about this thread! I had a crazy month.. launched a freebie on BHW that took a lot of my time plus a BHW service. Didn't have time to post a podcast. But tomorrow a new episode will be up.
We're up to 200-210 listeners so far!
Just an update! We got a sponsor called Black Tux. They're paying us $20 per 1k downloads...
Great number however our listeners are low. We only get around 100 downloads per episode... so we told them we'd love to take their offer just not now. Too soon to sellout!
Our new podcast is up: The Art Of Copywriting (How To Become A Legend) for whoever wants to listen click here.
Anchor now paying $15 for 1k plays
Following your journey
