I've got my eyes on domains that were registered as far back as 2004. They're not hosted or parked anywhere - just plain don't resolve to any server. I'd like to know what the process is for getting domains if the owner isn't using or paying attention to it.

Any thoughts?

you could try filing a claim to ICANN...

If contacting the owner gives you no joy then I believe the only thing you can do is back order it for when it expires.

you can always try snapnames if you dont know when it drops just backorder it or if its due to drop they will try and grab it admittedly though i think the prices start around $59 for each domain
