    PMs Good and Bad

I get a steady flow of PMs like

? PMs from Buddies ? great always good to keep in contact

? PMs asking for help and/or advice ? great always pleased to help out if I can ? even if some have to wait an age for reply ? hey I am only human?

? PMs asking to work with you ? now these are the tricky ones as I nearly always need some help here and there ? but what I do not like is getting all the info together to work together then being let down

Why do I mention the last one well because I believe folks should not send PMs asking to work together if they are going to let people down? as I have been pissed off with a guy very recently I had a steady flow of in and out correspondence then he just stopped answering ? downside to me I had spent the best part of 1 days time dealing with this prat!

What are your experiences Good and Bad with PMs?

I agree completely! The every so often PMs from friends checking on how I'm doing are nice and I'm generally greeted by at least one PM from someone that's just got their fifteen posts asking for help and usually they're polite and actually listen to my advice.

What I hate is like your situation; talking to a seller, buyer or possible person for a JV and then they just stop responding or they change the terms hugely and just blow you off.

The other pain is when a Newbie asks for help and I write a huge reply and then they either say something along the lines of "I can't be bothered" or just never reply. I mean it just gets frustrating taking my time to help them and then there's no thanks. Oh well LIFE GOES ON and overall, I rely on the PM system to talk to a lot of people that I want to.

steel, my favorite is when a member pesters me
via pm to get my service for a few days, you no how they
say some people just dont seem right, but against your better
judgment you add them to skype , then they just ignore you
on the forum and skype , idiots and time wasters .. it happens
then i just block em. move on

Ya, soliciting work via PM isn't a way to make friends. I just quit responding and delete.

I'll typically respond on the related thread for everyone to see my response. So if the contact can't be bothered, maybe it will help someone else that stumbles on the thread.
