Man, I see this so much on the internet and for some reason it bugs the fuck out of me. I just don't understand how it gets confused so easily.

    Loose:

    • not compact or dense in structure or arrangement; "loose gravel"

    Lose:

    • fail to keep or to maintain; cease to have, either physically or in an abstract sense; "She lost her purse when she left it unattended on her seat"

    To Phunky:

There are a lot of members on the forum who come from different countries where English is not their primary language. I think we should cut them some slack and overlook slight discrepancies in their grammar and spelling. They are trying to communicate as best as they can.

    Your a genius wiz!

I agree though, I actually admire people from non-english speaking countries who have pretty good english because I couldn't even learn french/german a few years ago. :(

Yeah I guess I didn't really think of that and it makes sense. My wife majored in English while in college so I suppose that kinda feeds my ways as well. I am certainly not perfect with grammar, spelling, etc...but I would just like for people to realize it's wrong. I hold no hard feelings towards those who live in another country and struggle with the English language ;)

But who really cares as long as in the end we can put a few bucks in our pocket and not loose them instead. I think it is kinda cool how people who don't understand the language still make the effort to try. Actually, I envy them for their commitment to overcome language barriers, communicate, and prosper.

    1. there.

    2. their.

    3. they're.

    Or...

    1. effect.

    3. affect.

    Or...

    1. to.

    2. too.

a real concern is when these errors appear on a web site, they may cause subconscious mistrust in some potential customers.
