I am new to the blogging thing, but I figured I would give it all a try. This website was originally created for my History class at school...

It's not too bad to be honest, but for that kind of niche, information, I would go with a website, instead of a blog, but that's just me, seeing as you have your own hosting/domain, you should look into Joomla and other full-site CMS, you'll be able to create a full website with easy to read information, for example reading the articles that are at the bottom, a lot of people won't scroll down that far.

I agree with Alex. You would be better off with a website powered by a CMS as opposed to a blog. You have a lot of good and interesting information there. Making the user scroll through it all though is like information overload! I see that you have g00gle ads as well as amaz0n ad sponsorship. Make sure you are targeting your audience. You are likely dealing with history buffs, veterans of war, etc. Link to ads selling war related memorabilia, documentaries depicting war, etc.

Also students may well visit your website, having affiliate links to useful books about revision and what not, might generate a couple of sales, it's exam time right now in the UK, so a lot of people have been buying these sort of books within the last month or so, but it's quickly dying out, but this kind of time period is the main time for people to buy books online for revision.

I would like to thank you all for giving me your constructive criticism as I have found it very helpful. And to be honest, I have pondered whether or not to make it a full scaled website opposed to a WP blog, but I went with the WP side of things because it was a bit quicker.

    Thanks!

I use to have that theme... anyways. Great site, but I just do not see that theme matching your niche on your website. I would go with a more distorted looking template.

I definitely agree Jamie, it was just hard to find a good, clean WP theme that was more for historical information.

Update: I am installing Joomla on the site at the moment [:
