What do you guys do with them? looks like a big chunk of this forum s dedicated to proxies. I get it, I need one to securely browse the web, but what are the Marketing applications?
For ghost accounts on FB?
And why paid shared proxy would be better than free shared proxy?

Free proxies == Abused and known to be proxies by all big websites (google, insta, fb, tinder etc). Leads to your account getting banned.

Paid shared proxies == Also probably abused, same story.

Private proxies == normally not even private, but better hope of not getting banned.

Residential proxies == generally unabused proxies that are either 4g or from a home network connection.
 
Proxies are the heart of social media automation. You'd need for ghost fb/ig accounts, SEO and there are multiple other applications.

no, it doesn't. You're just taking revenge on me because you can't stand intelligence and education. Pretty common symptoms among those who reply with "it\s a black hat forum, not an essay writing forum" to free education
 
Nobody mentioned that proxies aren't that much used for safe browsing. First of all, they don't encrypt your data, as VPNs do. Also, they're to expensive to be used for simple browsing. And let's not forget that proxies are usually slow. Residential proxies are way slower than anything that comes from a datacenter. This makes them unbearable to use for streaming or torrenting, for example.

I use at home for privacy, I don't want each site I visit to know my location and what ISP IP I was using at that time, and I don't want my ISP sniffing and logging every site I go.

At office I use because they love to block dev related sites. They claim these sites are blogs and I'm not working if I browse them, but in fact they are envy bastards and wanna boycott my work because I develop solutions they are unable to.
