My website http://JoelGoldstein (dot) com does not come up under the search Joel Goldstein. I did some linking a few years ago, however I don't show up on any black lists and the pages are indexed. Please tell my why I'm not showing up.

When did you stop showing up? Have you checked your backlink profile?

It looks like you completely changed the content of your website in late October of this year... Google's new soft panda algorithm is also the slowest algorithm in many years... 10 months ago Google would process page changes in 24-72 hours. These days Google is processing website changes at a rate of monthly or slower. When you change your website try to do it in small incremental changes over time. If you change templates and text content at 100% in one go then google has to completely redo the contextual analysis of your keyword relevance which includes your backlinks that may or may not support your new keyword footprint.

You basically gave Google a very big math problem and Google is saying you need to wait your turn to get it solved.

You should set up your website in Google Webmaster tools... It will alert you if there are crawl errors or manual actions.

Changing websites so drastically can be dangerous too... If your new website has different URLs than the old websites you may have just thrown out all the backlinks to your old URLs. Google Webmaster Tools will usually list the lost pages under Crawl Errors as 404 or 500 errors... If this is part of your problem then look up how to do htaccess redirects and point the old URLs to the most applicable new URL. This will give you some, but much less credit for the lost backlinks. The best thing you can do is not change your URL structure... doing that nearly always causes as PR hit.

I hope this helps. Odds are nothing too terrible has happened and you just need to wait for Google to process your changes. In the meantime go make sure you didn't throw out your backlinks with the October theme change.

You have 2 backlinks... one is PR3 and one is PR 0... so you either orphaned your backlinks with website changes OR your past backlinking was very spammy and is now deleted... or you never had backlinks, but your site is old enough to have more than two backlinks... something is up.

I googled for pages on your site and everything listed comes back 404... you killed all your backlinks by making all the old URLs 404 not found.

People talk about "crawl" rate all the time, and never about "contextual analysis" rate. New concept to me. Where does information like this come from?

    EDIT ***

    Found this:

Its the classic NLP... website says "Time flies like an arrow"... Is it "Time" that "flies like an arrow" or sci-fi bugs called "Time Flies" that "like an arrow"... The new Google is all about keyword context and NLP. Google is picking which words matter and which ones don't. This eliminates scale on the search side, but increases scale on the crawl side. Thus the newer softer pandas are slow.

New page indexing is still pretty fast but try changing the keyword targeting of an existing page and you'll see the slowness firsthand. Especially one with a lot of back links.

I did make a lot of changes to the site lately, however I didn't realize that if I resubmitted my sitemap and properly shifted everything with webmaster tools that it would take such a hit.

My focus is going to be guest blogging to build up the backlinks, any other suggestions would be appreciated.
