    Hi there people

I was just going through the code of my site and I found this at the very top.

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN
followed by two more lines of code.

I tried to do some research and I am not sure what to make of it. I definitely did not put it there. From what I understand, it is some sort of an intimator to search engines about the type of HTML code or something like that.

Should I remove it or just let it be?

    Can somebody help please?

    Thx
    Ramsweb

Just let it be - your HTML editor put it there...

    lol

this is at the top of nearly every website ever. it just describes what type of document it is with W3C which is the World Wide Web Consortium.

    It's normal, leave it there
