My client has a wordpress based website with SSL setup. I tried using 'backupbuddy' to backup all his files and work on my own hosting instead.

Backupbuddy showed 'migration success' but when I tried accessing those backup files on my hosting, the entire style sheet was messed up and a lot of broken links.

I used firebug to inspect the code and found that even the images were linked as HTTPS... (i know its bad - not sure what he did)...

So my question is, whats the right way to backup his site, take off the SSL on the backup files, so I can start developing under my own hosting.

    Please help. Thanks

If you don't want to use SSL,then use the searchnreplace plugin ,and change all 'https' to http .

Is it really that simple? I'll be trying this when
if/when I find that I need to make a change. Thanks.

Is there no way to deactivate it or something?

I downloaded all files via FTP and there isnt https code there. Since this coded in php, i dont think this will work.
