I'm seeking help and advice. I'm currently hosted with Namecheap. My site is running way too slowly and i seem to be using a lot of resources. my current plan doesn't seem to support our needs. My website is an e-commerce shop running on Woocommerce (Wordpress). I average about 1000-1500 visitors daily. People seem to always complain about the site speed.

I'm currently using Namecheap's Business SSD plan.

    40 GB SSD RAID10
    10TB Bandwidth
    Unlimited Hosted Domains
    PCI Compliant

This are my resource usage taken from cPanel 5 minutes ago.

I wanna know what are my options? Namecheap recommend that we upgrade it to any SSD dedicated server. I wanna check if BHW members got better advise? And perhaps if any offshore hosting company can offer me a much better hosting plan? I sell China clothing that's why. Some are replicas.

    Thanks

You need your own server, checking hosting section on here, there's better value than Namecheap.

    I would recommend using https://www.a2hosting.com/web-hosting

The best part is that they are now offering 51% OFF for the first bill. When you purchase one year, it costs around $112 for the TURBO package. I would recommend using this package as it's extremely fast.

The default CPU/RAM of this package is:
    • 2 x 2.1 ghz
    • Physical Memory: 2GB
    • Virtual Memory: 8GB
When purchased with the addon, you can increase 1GB RAM more.

Currently, I'm using this plan for one of my websites and it can easily handle over 7,000 visitors a day.

1500 visitors daily is a lot for a namecheap hosting. Invest your money in a vps or even a dedicated server, you will instantly notice a big difference.

I would recommend moving to a VPS server anyways. With shared hosting you are going to start maxing out any web host shared account. As most run cloud linux and are going to have settings to help protect resources.

If you have an ecomm site you should be on a VPS anyways. This way as your business grows you can scale your plan with it. On a shared plan you are stuck at those settings. Some providers may give just a little more resources to you but they will in time recommend you go to a VPS or Dedicated server.

Really the question now is what kind of budget are you trying to stay in?

A VPS or dedicated would be the way to go if you are into managing everything yourself. I would take a look at Buyvm, Ramnode, Openvz.io I have VPS on all of them and they are pretty good hosts and affordable if you need cPanel plan on spending $10 to $15 on top of the VPS price.

I don't think so. I have a wp blog on namecheap. Sometime it recieve 10k view/day, and the server can handle it easily (compared to other wp blog on other hosting company).

Check out Hostwinds which is well-known hosting provider, they have already saved me hours of hassle, their stability and performance are outstanding.

ok first of all I think you should first check your WordPress, 1000 to 1500 daily visitors do not require dedicated server or even vps, here is what you can do, start disabling plugins one by one and see where your site stop using high resources. tip: disable any cache plugin and WP based crons i,e wp-cron.php and instead of that use cPanel based cron jobs. switch your theme to some lighter version.
Get some WordPress expert to optimize your website, if all these things do not work then only upgrade to VPS hosting.

    CPU: 3 cores
    Ram : 3 GB
    HDD: as per your requirement
cPanel + Litespeed will be the best combination for you.

    USE some CDN also/

Are you sure that Namecheap told you to jump on dedicated server ? You will be good with VPS plan with 4GB RAM and 2 CPU .

Have you try to optimize your website plugins etc?

Easiest thing you can do is get yourself a VPS with AWS. They have pretty much 1 click upgrades which makes upgrading your VM so much easier in the future.

first try using caching plugin to see if it helpings...

    i recommend wp fastest cache...

the reasoning why your site using so much rams is because many peopls simultaneously sending requests to servers.... imagines 600-1000 peoples sending multiple requests to sites.... so using caching plugins may helping lower ram usage and also improving speeds.

notes: you must checking faqs... some peoples suggesting you use caching plugin in site but not in shopping carts if not it makes add to cart fail. so see faqs of cache plugins for more guiding!!!

I just like to say, servikus hosts 3 of my sites. It's been very good so far! The uptime is almost 100 percent. No slow loads.

Very affordable too, unlimited domains. Fast customer support both on bhw and in email.

They've been operating since 2007, so they've got solid history.

I didn'the get paid to post this, but many on bhw will agree with me

I have hosted websites at NameCheap and some of them have over 5000 daily visitators and it's ok. There must e a problem with your website/plugins check it.

On your server you can move when you will have 7-10k /day..
