Hi, this is my first time to post a thread here,I have got a problem about video marketing on youtube. I am really confused about it,please help me,thank you very much.

I just learnt to create videos and upload them to youtube,I did some VSEO,such as keyword in title, description and tag,and then add some views, likes, comments and subscribers to it. Someone taught me that I should bring tons of backlinks to the video to rank it on youtube and google search results. They said that in a reasonable range, the more views, likes, comments, subscribers and backlinks, the better.

I believe what they said is true untill I discovered a person's videos. These are clickbank products videos. I found lots of his videos don't have huge views, likes, comments, subscribers and backlinks, but guess what, his videos rank on 1st page on youtube and even google no matter how competitive that keyword is,moreover, his videos display on google 1st page search result and beat those which have much more views, likes, comments, subscribers and backlinks!!!

I have no idea whether I'm allowed to put a link here, and I don't want to hurt his business,so I will not show his video link here. I'll show you some of the data of this video. It is one of his videos,I want to take an example. This video has been uploaded for 1 month,it's now the number 5 on youtube and display on google 1st page, and it is the only video showed on the google 1st page of that keyword,it even beat the official videos of this product. (The first 4 videos are all official videos on youtube)

This person's video: #5 on youtube and 1st page on google

    Dislikes:0
    Subscribers: 139
    Comments: 2
    Backlinks: 0 (according to Ahrefs)
    G+:0
    Tweets:0
    Facebook likes:0
    Facebook shares:0

Official video: #1 on youtube but doesn't display on google 1st page

    Dislikes: 7
    Subscribers: 24493
    Comments:101
    Backlinks:229 (according to Ahrefs)
    G+:6
    Tweets:11
    Facebook likes:13
    Facebook shares:32

You see? That's it,and sometimes, his video is at ,say,#13 position on youtube, but still is the only video showed on google 1st page! And I am sure this is not accidental,it's not just good luck,I have researched lots of this person's videos, most of them are same as the one showed above. I am now really confused about it, I don't know if I should go ahead using the vseo knowledge I learnt before, and I am really eager to know how he did that. So,please ,anyone, please help me. And please leave a comment or PM me if you know what he did,or, if you need any more information to analyze, just let me know. Thanks again!

Edit: Sorry for my poor english, I hope I explain my confusion clearly.

could be varying videos so his is showing temporarily at top... you gotta test and see what works best for you. its a combination of many factors. what did he do? he worked hard. copy similar tactics on your vids and see what works best
