    Try installing the theme on your blog, open up your homepage, click on view -> page source in your browser, scroll down to the footer section in the code, highlight the html found there and then paste the html into the footer.php file in your wordpress theme editor. It is usually easier than trying to decrypt the file.

    You can also try to decrypt it with online tools like:

    Base 64 encryption:
    Code:
    http://www.tareeinternet.com/scripts/base.html
    Eval encryption:
    Code:
    http://www.tareeinternet.com/scripts/decrypt.php
    On a side note: Never heard of that particular site before, but they have some really nice looking wp themes.

    Yeah, I just found the problem. The functions.php file has a base 64 encryption, when decoded it looks like:

    Code:
    function check_theme_footer() { $uri = strtolower($_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"]); if(is_admin() || substr_count($uri, "wp-admin") > 0 || substr_count($uri, "wp-login") > 0 ) { /* */ } else { $l = '<a href="http://www.bestincellphones.com/free-ringtones.asp">Download Free Ringtones</a> | Thanks to <a href="http://www.navsari.in">Navsari India</a>, <a href="http://www.fyi.in">India News</a> and <a href="http://www.greenenergy.in">Green Energy</a>'; $f = dirname(__file__) . "/footer.php"; $fd = fopen($f, "r"); $c = fread($fd, filesize($f)); fclose($fd); if (strpos($c, $l) == 0) { theme_usage_message(); die; } } } check_theme_footer();
    You should be able to decode it, change as you wish and then just replace it.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

    I had the same problems...

    I didn't do any decrypting. I deleted all of the instances of the eval code in the following files:

    header.php

    footer.php

    functions.php

    for example..

    delete where you see from eval to the end code of ));

    HTML:
    eval(base64_decode('Y2hlY2tfdGhlbWVfaGVhZGVyKCk7'));
    Every instance that you see this in the WPNewthemes you'll bypass the encrypted footer links.

    Worked for me and no errors like before. removing these do not break the theme at all. no missing div codes.

    Good luck
