Spyware doctor is a very very good product...i am using the crack version

i am very surprise that AVG cannot detect some of the virus..while the spyware doctor can detect...
Oh...zonelabs firewall is also good...i heard alot of good reviews...

Everyone uses different antiviruses, but download/install Avast. After you dl, do a boot scan, then perform a surface scan. I have used it for several years ans have tried most. They have been the best for me. I don't know if crackz is the way to go this time cause you can end up with another virus.

the free version of Spyware Doc can be had from the Google toolset. works 95% as well as the paid (use the free on my laptop, paid on main computer) also install PCtools Threatfire (gets along well with it's brother Spyware Doc) Malwarebytes finds what some of the others miss.

thing is? you may have a 'smitfraud' variant infection. really badass to remove...had to fix a friend's computer last month.

just search "smitfraud" there are several free solutions...

XoftSpySE looks to be a powerful program, may get it to replace Spyware Doc.

I was able to defeat a trojan a while ago without software and put the instructions step by step on a blog:

AVG is good for catching virus's when they are downloaded, but run time you want something like kasperkey and hijack this. Once a quality payload has installed itself you may have a hell of a time getting a new AV properly installed and updated.

I have seen some pretty cool things like disabling popular active AV's or corrupting the AV itself, removing admin rights, ect... Combine that with the password stealers available for IE and Fire Fox and it just doesn't seem worth while to try and fix it.

Get Kaspersky Internet Security. It is the best program on the net that uses less resources and has strong detection capabilities.

you can tray xsoftspy se, spyware doctor, examine it, and best would be to scan with all of them as they find different stuff. i had the same thing but i think i had to first fix the blacking outs and then scan i dont remember.

i think i had deleted some wierd files and removed them from msconfig startup.

i also used hijack this.

my best suggestion is to format and do clean install as you have some nasty thing and you will loose all day to clean it but it can be done if you have time
