Please help how to get started with affiliate marketing,squidoo , keywords etc

I am a newbie

I would like to do affiliate marketing with SQuidoo lenses but I am having a very hard time researching keywords. Can anyone recommend any ways ?Even keywords that have 2000-3000 searches have 800,000 or even more competition in google

So please if anyone can give tips how to find good keywords for squidoo lens aff. marketing.... it would be really appreciated ....

Then type the keyword . Then you will get a series of results The results will be more keywords.
So, you want to pick each and every keyword, search in google if the keyword has competition, if no competition, promote your sqdoo lens with that keyword.

Create a page in squidoo.
Write content.
Posts articles in article directories.

Most of the short-tail keywords have huge competition. Try using long tail keywords. They normally have less competition. Long tail keywords suit you requirements.

You need to start small. Grab your list of keywords from G, and start with the ones with fewer searches. Make a list. Go to G, and search for the terms in quotes "my new keyword" to find the ones with fewer competing pages. This will help you find terms that it should be easier to rank for.

Also be sure you are using broad but related tags on your lenses; that will help you get traffic from other lenses (thanks lewi for the tip) so even if you don't rank in the search engines yet you can still get some traffic. They allow 40 total I think, so really pack them in. If you get the spam warning (I got it today when updating), just remove a couple of the "spammy looking" tags and try again.

Just type in squidoo in the search bar, You'll find a lot of useful threads. Just take the time to read through it. There are also a few good downloads available in the downloads section that is quite useful as well.
