Yahoo and Dmoz directories adds some authority to your website. Expensive and not necessary but can be very helpful.

which is better? or is it best to do both?

would this give you any edge for a difficult KW?

    I have the same question.

From what I have read, DMOZ submission/approval is free.

to my knowledge yahoo dir is you pay - you get in. dmoz is free but more strict when it comes to moderation and submission. which one is best? BOTH if you can - it helps with site reputation and seo

DMOZ is almost impossible to get in anymore. I certainly think it helps to have a link like that. The question is does it help enough to justify the cost in the case of YAHD.
