Please clarify my doubt about socks5,http proxy , socks proxy , real ip , vpn etc

I dont know much about them except for how to use it ...can someone explain me in layman way



i would like to know the following -------

when i buy socks from different sites i get it in this format ..

xxx.yyy.zzz.aaa port number )

so socks5 proxy connects using a different ports
I know that when i talk to my friend,he wont be able to figure out if am using socks or anything else

i just want to know is.. if i Use a completely anonymous socks , which no one else is using can paypal or lr or amazon or ebay or any other site ,,,find it out basing on the port number on which it runs ?

i mean to say when i open paypal on my pc on real ip then port 80 or 8080 is used but while using socks5 different ports are used so do they have any program which detects it ..

i just want to know that on what basis do they come to the conclusion that a person is on his real ip or socks5 proxy or a vpn

does it have anything to do with port number ???

any idea ?

Socks proxy is versatile proxy for all your Internet usage while the HTTP proxy can only be used for surfing. You can use socks proxy to send email, transfer files, chat online, play games as well as surf websites.

The most proxies we find on Internet are http://www.my-proxy.com/blog/http-proxy-server-basics/. HTTP stands for HyperText Transfer Protocol which is used in surfing. It means HTTP proxy is used for surfing in browsers.

There are three levels of HTTP proxy according the anonymity.

• High Anonymous Proxy (Level 1): The web server can't detect whether you are using a proxy by the information your browser sent.
• Anonymous Proxy (Level 2): The web server knows that you are probably using a proxy, but it can't detect your real IP.
• Transparent Proxy (Level 3): The web server knows that you are using a proxy and it can also detect your real IP address.

All socks proxies and VPN are highly anonymous. You can not know whether someone is using a HTTP/Socks proxy or VPN as long as he is using a Level 1 proxy. The port number doesn't matter.

Infecting a victim and using his ip as socks5 in my pc (Reverse proxy socks are Level 1 or not ? )

An HTTP proxy can also be used as IRC proxy in case it's access list allow you to connect to IRC port. You can use HTTP proxy for exactly the same purpose as SOCKS assuming there is no access list. The reason why people prefer SOCKS for accessing custom services such as IRC/Skype etc. is because generally those proxies allow you to connect to any port.

Software developers were just lazy or ignorant and did not bothered to support HTTP proxies for anything else than browsing the internet. I am a software developer for proxy related software's and I know what I am talking about.

The biggest difference versus HTTP and SOCKS is the protocol. SOCKS is more stealth in terms of privacy.

The only way to detect L1 proxy for any service is to port scan it real-time and of course it has to be an open proxy, otherwise there is no way for any anti-proxy detection to detect these types of proxies. Anything less than L1 can be detected via headers very easily.

SOCKS proxies are always L1, no matter which type of SOCKS.

so u say an anonymous http proxies are better than anonymous socks5 for browsing sites like ebay,paypal.lr,mb ?

i have no clue what headers are w.r.t proxies

I never said that HTTP is better than SOCKS. I just wanted to point out the fact that HTTP proxies can also be pretty much used for the same purpose. For example you may want to setup HTTP proxy (Squid) if you want real caching for your users, access lists, speed restrictions and so forth. SOCKS does not cache anything nor log by default traffic unlike squid does.

I am not here to help you how to do fraudulent purchases without getting caught. When I see replies are incomplete or completely wrong, I usually straight that thing out.

thanks for replying but just for your info its not for fraudulent purpose lol
i dont want to invest money in buying vpns , my requirement is of lots of ip from a particular country which allows me to make peepee account on it ....socks5 are cheap and also i know how to get reverse proxy socks5 all i dnt know is if its LEVel 1 OR NOT

My concern is only to find a way to not get detected as SOCKS5 proxy ....i dnt care if they monitor,trace me do whatever but they shouldnot find out that my socks are actually socks not real ip ....i want to use socks5 as real ip

These companies may collect socks proxies just as you. Thus they can put the proxies into their blacklist.

Ahhh i see so they dont have any method to detect socks as socks .
kool then reverse proxy socks5 should work for me

You should read the Wikipediia links for all the different proxy types. Very informative. To answer your question. an end user should not be able to see what port or ip address you're originating from in most circumstances. So you should be anonymous in that sense.
