Here is what I did today:

Started the morning with a full AMR blast. Got a hundred or so livelinks (don't worry about this as it isn't what I'm concerning myself with in this thread).

Loaded up the links into SB and did a 50k blast to AA blogs.

Link checked those. Took the links and made rssfeed with link2rss.

Uploaded the feeds to my site.

Did an rss submission with magic submitter.

Bookmarked the rss links with MS.

Pinged the bookmarks with MS also.

One query...Why are people not afraid of the footprint and being penalized uploading loads of spammy rssfeed links to their money site? I know some don't but I read most do this and don't seem to care?

So any more to add/take away to what I did there for next time?

I think you need to throw in a few social bookmarking sites as part of your strategy...

The trick is to future proof the work your doing now against fairly obvious algorithm updates from Google

(Your fears are pretty reasonable as well, quite a few people suggest that you never point automated SEO work at your money site)

? I said I bookmarked them as you will note above.

Another thing I was wondering was- is this routine any different than what linklicious does?

If not/if it's better then I think I'll do it this way in future to save some money cos it was pretty streamlined.

Yeah I still think you might need to look at how your social bookmarking though :)

Automation is great but you'd be surprised how much affect a few hand automated SM resources can help. If everything was as simple as firing up a spinner, then spamming the hell out of it with software everyone would be a dot.com millionaire.

Something as simple as retagging your pictures on each of your social media and social bookmarking sites can really increase your viability.
Also, bookmarking your social bookmark sites with other social bookmarking sites.

Oh I also notice you seem to just be bookmarking the RSS feeds? is this correct?
It's a bit more hassle to bookmark the actual pages rather than feed, but you can probably guess which looks more natural over time.

Other than putting my usual Wordpress setup on a site with all the pinging sites known to me, this morning all that was indexed was the old parked page for my domain. The site is 2 days old on hosting. This morning I put a post on my Twitter account and just now I checked and the home page is indexed. That is all I did, not all the extra work that you went through. I always make sure a site is indexed before I begin to build links. That is just my preference.

That's really good advice :) I've been building up twitter lists for some of my sites for similar reasons, I figure just having relevant peoples tweets appearing on the front page will make the site look more authoritative to search.

What that is apples and oranges dude.

Getting one wordpress page indexed is alot different than indexing 50k sb/xrumer blasts.

Inspiration are you saying bookmark every single link?

That doesn't sound too faesible to me.

From your suggestions it sounds like you are a 'manual' type of IMer :D

Nah I misinterpreted the thread to mean that you were attempting to get your site indexed.

As for the backlinks, I don't worry about getting them indexed. All of you guys commenting and linking on the same pages will do all that work for me. My time is better spent creating more links and content.

I don't even do that, I just have a junk account that I post in to get a certain page indexed. Other than that, I don't touch twitter. It does not show on my sites either.

I do have one site however that has it's own twitter account because it is a niche that people would follow. It is set up to auto tweet every time I create a new page or post. Never go to that account either. I don't know how many people are even following.

I don't bookmark ever single link I make, but if I have links worth getting indexed quickly damn straight I'll manually bookmark them! :D
Even someone running on totally on automate knows which links are worth getting indexed quickly, all those spam comments on pages dripping with other peoples spam? I don't bother bookmarking lol.

(You are right though I do favour a manual approach, it appears way more natural and part of the point of social media is that surfers can find your brand from multiple sources when they search, so it's well worth manually maintaining a few by hand, the other reason is I actually work for a company, they wont be all that pleased if I go whole hog on spamming - plus I'm paid by the hour lol)
