Yeah, it's been a lot of news about planes lately and it's not great to see at all.

When the press catches wind to something like this, they usually go overboard on it and talk about it for a month until something new comes a long.

    It's a sad story though.

If you think about it, statistically there are a lot more people that drive every day rather than flying.. And they're probably a lot more automobiles than planes, so the chances of dieing in a car crash go up if you're driving around more.

Don't worry about it dude. Flights taking off every second all around the world, more chance of dying taking a shower, or walking up your staircase but I know what you mean, i'm not a big fan of flying but the facts still say it's the safest way to travel.

riding in a plane is still safer than driving in a car.

I've been watching this for the last couple of hours on CNN. Pretty sad situation that everyone on board died.

Have you noticed that stuff like this happens in 3's? First the Hudson River incident, this one and possibly one more to come - unfortunately. I hope I'm wrong.

That's a very sad crash, but the guys here who said that plane travel is the safest form of travel are right.

Statistically speaking, flying in a plane is safer than driving a car, or even crossing the street. These aren't just small sample sizes either, because planes have been flying for many decades and we've got lots of research to support that conclusion. When something does go wrong with a plane, it's hyped up massively because things very rarely go wrong. However, when something goes wrong with a car and there's a car crash, how often do you hear about it? How much is it hyped? It's much more commonplace in people's minds, so the media doesn't pay very much attention to it.
