I thought it would be good if we could make a thread that has a list of all the places you can get free wifi at. I was struggling to find a place that was open at 4 am that had wifi but I found one...McDonalds! Let's keep the list going!

I am struggling to undertand why you would want free wifi, internet is so cheap nowadays.

Unless you are running a spam bot or some pinging software for autobloggers.

Why wouldn't you want free wifi if you are travelling somewhere? Doesn't matter if you are 1 mile or 1000 miles from home, its important to know where you can get free wifi at.

Airports are a good place to get free wifi! Not only the airports in itself has free wifi, but even the restaurants in them has free wifis. So if you're looking for a non-annonymous, quick and easy way of obtaining a different IP all the time. You can go around the airport and restaurants and connect.

Another nice place I like are libraries. Condusive environment and you can even stay around the Internet and Computers section so that you can easily find a book that might have the answer to your question right at the spot.

Starbucks is good too, lots of babes. ;D

Not all airports' wifi is free and Starbucks isn't. I've done a lot of traveling in the last year and found MOST places aren't free. It cost me $3.99 for an hour in a Barnes and Noble in Wisconsin (a god awful place).

I can give you a 100 reasons, heres 1, I stay in Hotels a lot during my travels.
Now thats what i call, mixing business with pleasure.
    Not in Europe/Asia unfortunately.
This site looks okay for finding (free) WiFi hotspots, http://www.jiwire.com/
They have a FireFox addon too but it needs to get updated (only runs on Firefox: 1.0 - 1.5.0.), https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1285
