Hello.

If i ping my own site URLS - will that help Google Respider them and Update?

I am adding new content to some pages (about 20-30 in total) - not 1000's.
After i have added the content i am finding if i check the Cached version - even after 10 days its not been updated... So the new content will not be getting ranked and effecting the SERPS - Am i correct?

If i PING these specific pages then...

1. Is it safe on a small scale?
2. Will it do what i think and cause Google to update its version - resulting in new SERP positions ue to the new content?

Thanks

Ping away, submit your RSS feeds and build backlinks to the backlinks that are linking to your site.

I build backlinks to my backlinks that have a pagerank. I'm afraid that spammy PR0 backlinks hurt rather than help. Maybe needlessly paranoid though :-P

That might not look natural to the search engines... I build backlinks to all my backlinks... not as many to the PR0 ones of course but if I have a bcaklink out there, I want it to begin to develop juice.

But thats not what i am asking...

I am not saying to PING my links...
I am saying - is it OK to ping specific pages on my site so that Google updates/crawls them...
