This might be a dumb question, and i have had a search but couldn't find an answer..

I know you can ping backlinks with websites such as linklicious & pingomatic

My question is, how do i ping backlinks from forum posts.. or specific websites? or is that not how backlink pinging works?

for example, at pingomatic (at the bottom) there is a list of services in which it pings for you.. what are these services?...

    Thanks

You can run huge lists of backlinks through a service called Lindexed.

My question is, how do i ping backlinks from forum posts?

for example i post on forum1 fourm2 & forum3 but when i use these backlink websites to ping...they detect nothing, am i missing how this works?

    Same for blog1, blog2 etc..

you just need to ping the url of your post. even if there is nothing because the machine don't have an id of the forum. but i think forum is often being visited by search engine bot itself.
