This is probably the biggest stumbling block for me with Adwords. 99% of my success with AW has been with adult, but when my long-term sponsor decided they would no longer pay out for pre-paid credit cards, my ratios (and ROI) plummeted.

So, my mission once again is to leave adult behind regarding AW, but I know how profitable a successful campaign can be, so I'd like to carry it over to mainstream. My problem? It's a completely different animal.

I load up CJ.com, click get links and suddenly overwhelmed by the amount of programs there are from actual products to software to e-books.

I understand the 'uber affiliates' probably fail 95% of their campaigns before finding a nice one, but I don't even know where to start to find those campaigns. Do you guys have a method?

    Sorting by EPC?
    Picking a product you know?
Pick the highest cost per lead?

This is all stuff that gets me stopped before I even start. It's so frustrating to put together a landing page, do tons of keyword research, put upt he page only to see min CPC's at $2+ and not knowing if I'm going to waste a shiton of money I don't have for a product type that hardly sells.

    Thanks for any help :)

you have to find a successsful compaign again. its a tough task.
Setup landing pages and test with using voucher accounts.
start by investing a little 2$ to 5$ a day.
Find a successful compaign and give it a blast. Cheers

Why not try and stick with Adult but change who you work with but in the meantime work with a product that only you like..thinking outside the box and making a list of all the shit that interests you first is a good way to wittle down some of the hords of information out there.

If you know adult what about online gaming or casinos?

everything happens for a reason... got to sit back and think from diff angle.

That's a pretty good idea. How does that work exactly, I just need a new e-mail address, pop in a voucher and it gives me x dollars to play with and then I have to run a CC? (I'd rather not use the same CC for multiple test accounts. )

Definitely a good way to spend $0.50+ per click to test a product without draining your account

Yea, I'm just a little torn right now with adult. I had a pretty successful campaign running with a specific site/niche, using the "pay per sale" option they had. I've been running that for years, then 3 weeks ago 50% of my sales went to auto-revshare with $0 profit. Come to find out those sales were due to customers signing up with pre-paid cards with free trials.

They've had the pre-paid part in their ToS since Jan, but I guess 3 weeks ago they took on a new list of pre-paid cards which appeared to flush out 30-50% of my sales. I wasn't doing any scamming, but I guess they were losing tons of money to pre-paid cards and had to change their 'pay per signup' plan.. blah.

Anyway, I am definitely thinking of continuing in adult for the time being, since it's what I know best, but it's very clear based on what just happened, the adult world is getting tough to work with :( Finding a new place to work with is definitely going to be step #1, however since I am making $0, I may have to re-start that current campaign and really try to keep my CPC as low as possible.
