I am getting a PHPBB forum MOD developed from a coder from Freelancer - my question is whether it is required to CUSTOMISE the PHPBB script hosted in my server before coding (developing) the MOD and installing the MOD ?

Or I can directly install the newly developed MOD in my PHPBB forum and it will become functional ?

Ask the person who is making your modification.

it really depens on what script hes making
maybe the scrip need to edit some phpbb core file
or edit forum skin
or it need to access to the database
ask that to your coder or send more info about the script
