Phone numbers that track calls

Figured I would put this in the lounge, if there is a better place please let me know.

I am looking for virtual phone numbers that track calls.

I have a listing for a customer and I am looking to track the calls that are made to them, track the leads that I am creating for them.

Has anyone used anything like this?

What info are you looking to capture? I have seen a few devices that will do what I think it is you are looking for but they are expensive or you have to build them yourself.
 
The only thing I am trying to capture is that a phone call was made. I will try and explain it better.

On my site I have a phone number 111-111-1111
It is forwarded to my clients number 222-222-2222

All I want to capture is that there was a call made to 111-111-1111 that was forwarded.

I hope that makes sense.
 
Yea that makes sense. I used to be a bail bondsmen and we had something called a trap line. Basically it was a special number that when call came in on it they could not block the caller ID and it would give us the address and a bunch of other info.

Oh, also you would need to have the call forwarded to your trap line first and then to you clients. So it would be like this.

111-111-1111 ---> Trap Line ---> 222-222-2222
 
another way would be set up a Trixbox PBX system at your place. You have a direct in dial number setup for that client and forward the call to there existing phone number. From the trixbox logs you can get the number that called, time, date and lenght of the call. Also you can record the calls if you wish. You can set the incoming callers ID to what ever you want. The options are endless.
 
Simple; use Evoice. They have a free trial for 6 months!

Tracking is a piece o'cake. I believe it's perfect for what you want. I use it all the time.
