Hey guys,

I have instagram account in pet nice ( cats ). I like cats very much, this is why I started this niche. Now i regret that. If I was in luxury niche I could do so much more. At the moment I have 104k followers and likes per pic between 3k - 5k with 40 - 80 comments. So I was watching what my competitors do. Mailing offers to people who were promoting with my competitors. So from 30 mails I've sent, I got just two orders. I'm happy with that, but people with business in my niche are not infinity, so I'm running out of people I can mail for business. A guy told me to make facebook account ( because I don't have ) and start liking pages, groups and ads about cats and cat food, toys, etc., etc.. He told me that I will start too see pet ads often, so I can contact them and offer them promotion. I did that. But those people are more facebook guys and they are not interested.
So my questions are:

- How to find more people in my niche who could promote with me ?
- Do I have to sell my account ( I know ebay will do the job ) and start a new niche ?
- Do you think in time, when my account grows more, it will be much more attracting for people to promote ?

I'm kinda disappointed. Took me 1.5 year to grow it this far and still not much money to be made. I was thinking " man, grow it to 50k, the snowball effect will kicks in... you will have tons of followers in not time ". It's not like that.

regards

Drop-shipping custom printed tshirts/merch aimed at cat lovers? Shopify/Woocommerce store, link in bio. Advertise it in posts occasionally. That's 100% what I'd do.

Google: How I Built an Online T-Shirt Business - there's a solid Shopify article going step by step how you could make this happen.

You can also make amazon affiliate site, with reviews of cat food etc. With 104k you can drive at least 200-500 visitors to your site daily (you might have to mention it in your posts more often to get the visitors. Something like "visit the link in BIO").

You can create a facebook fan page based around it, and promote products and offers on both pages.
Maybe affiliate products for cat toys, houses, food, etc
And also stated above, can create shirts, hoodies, keychains, phone cases, lots of ways.

1. Find online retailers of cat products and reach out to their marketing department
2. Reach out to small startups/ small retailers online and work out a deal to promote them also say you will link them in your bio
3. Create a ecommerce store selling cat toys, calendar etc

If you was getting 3-5k likes per picture in a popular niche you could sell 10-20 ads a day for approx $10-40 each :)

i would search out unusual products that are not in the mainstream and promote those, something quirkey normally gets attention

That's strange because I always believed and still believe the pet niche is one of the best niches to be in, it makes since just look at how many pet lovers there are, people spend lots of money on their pets. I think you need to change your monetization strategy not your niche.

Try share-a-sale. If that does not work at least it could increase traffic. haha.

Thanks for the tips and suggestion guys! I ordered a site from BHW provider yesterday, it will be a cat related stuff. After the site is ready I will add adsense and online shop. Nobody suggested adsense, probably because don't work good :| I have tested to send traffic before, when my account was at 40k followers 1-1.5k/likes per pic - the result wasn't impressive at all. I hardly was pulling 30 UV. I mean HARDLY. I wasn't asking people to check my site, i just had the link in my bio. Maybe I need to watermark the images with site link ? Or call to action in post description ? Or maybe both ? The problem is that those pictures ( of cats ) are not mine, I take from other people and give credit to this @user. Maybe I'm loosing "juice" when give credit to people using @user ? Maybe I should just " credit: user " instead, so people don't get distract and follow the user link, check his account and forget about me :D

thank you again !

Sell your FB account to i can haz cheezburger.

Sell your account and start a new one. Take it as a lesson and move on otherwise you will think after 3 years and 200k followers that if I would sold my account I would have now 100k followers in luxury niche and I would be making $xx per day. Biggest mistake is to stick on something when you already realized that it was a mistake to start at.

Already started luxury, but will keep that pet account. I've putted too much time to sell it.

That helped a lot, thank you. Very informative. Shall I click on your banner and check what you are offering ? It's rhetorical question, I don't really need your answer.

Do IG + Shopify. Cat related accessories. Cute cat keychains, rings whatever.
And then IG + Teespring. Design some funny Cat Tees and invest a little in Facebook ads.

Done done done.

start your own business like the others are suggesting and you will attract sponsors/partners/other businesses like that, business attracts business, thats why you're trying to do offers with other businesses. Sell shirts, products, try to partner with brands, etc and branch from there. Keep us updated please :)

DO This.

Spend some time reading other threads about how these methods work, then take action.
