if you goto godaddy direct you will pay $9.99 for a .com - if you just enter in cheap domains in google you will see godaddys ppc advert at the top for $6.95 domains... thats what i always use, good if you dont have any discount codes!

Godaddy is usually pretty nice, however I had to switch from Godaddy to another host last year because they don't dig bots being advertised on their servers. Switched to another host and no trouble since.

On another note namecheap.com has some AWESOME deals:

Yeah, I had a very bad experience with Godaddy, but if they been working for you - then that's great. I use Namecheap now. The problem I had with Godaddy was that I renewed a domain, yet it expired? I don't understand how that happened. I sent customer support my PayPal receipts, confirmation ID's, screens of the receipt - and they just kept asking me to buy it back for almost $90.00. Tried to transfer it before I renewed it, Namecheap said they were waiting on Godaddy's end to release - but of course that never happened.

They just kept ignoring anything I mentioned about receipts etc. I lost a mortgage site that brought me in leads as I used to be a loan officer, when that site died, so did my career. Lost my job as supervisor due to the market swing in June2007 when it seemed like every lender was about to die, then lost my site, I said, "I QUIT!"

Thanks BHW - I love this place. Within a few months I will easily replace my prior salary and commissions with some sweet as web income.

Those coupons look tempting tho - price wise....dammit Godaddy, just stop being a jerk-off.

Namecheap has been good to me, f*ck godaddy, namecheap might be a little more, but you get free privacy. Godaddy charges you for that.

Godday would not transfer 2 of my domains to namecheap. Only thing godaddy are good for are .ws
