My question is, once I get the sms verification code on Whatsapp for a US number, does the number gets discarded from the system or someone can claim the number later on or anytime after 20 mins? If yes then how long do I have the number with me and then expect to loose access to it?

Hi, I apologize for the delayed response. By contacting us on our on-site ticket system you’d get a response faster as we don’t check BHW as often as we should.
The number gets discarded usually after 3-5 days and as long as it stays within our system we would never sell it to anyone else other than one person. After registration I recommend adding 2FA and a pin, as it’s usually after 6-7 months when the carrier completely recycles the phone number and assigns it to someone else.
