I got a 2-day free sample of the Lion Needs keyword service. I asked for keywords in the golf niche (US).
TAT was 4 days, most-likely due to a limit on the number of free accounts created per day.
the good stuff
what could be improved
Trending keywords are ordered by "points", but it's not clear what points represent. You need to do your own research to find which keywords are low competition. If ahrefs KD or similar stats were added, this would be a huge improvement, especially for beginners.
overall verdict
Lion Needs will give you daily niche-related informational, news and affiliate (i.e. buyer intent) keywords, but you'll need to manually check them to find the lowest competition. If you know how to judge a SERP for keyword competition, or have an ahrefs subscription, you'll get value from this service.

- Some decent high volume, low competition affiliate keywords in the list (for example, "golf rangefinder reviews"
- Some low competition informational keywords (e.g. "golf umbrella size") that could bring traffic (good for monetizing with ads)
- Some topical news-related keywords (e.g. "charlie woods golf")
