Usually for the sale of a website we just verify that the site is owned by the seller and I'm comfortable with the proof that was given.

As to the revenue numbers, traffic and income we don't verify that do do your proper due diligence especially in that this is a 5 figure deal... low five figures but 5 figures none the less.

I have no reason to think that those numbers are in accurate but I do know when I buy something I do a fai amount of due diligence and you should do the same.
