I mostly read Instagram sub-forum on BHW and these days Instagram sub-forum is quite active. What i sometime notice that some JrVIPs or Donors reply to threads in a way that has nothing to do with the thread or the inquiry or question that the poster has asked, just so people can see their signature in which they've links or texts or whatever. They want to promote their signature without actually promoting it.

Can anything be done against such people? Like interactions or something. It's so annoying when i see this and I'm sure others must've noticed this as well.

    Your thoughts?

Mods will take action if people are just posting crap to promote their signature.
You can call them out in the thread but it is probably better just to use the Report Post button.

Excuse me! Pardon me! Coming through! Just dropping this sig, don't mind me!

All joking aside, there was another thread about this issue. Like Wilson said, you can call them out on it or report them (gather as many examples as you can in your report).

Perhaps the forum rules should be updated to include that to deter Jr. VIP's and Donor's from doing it.

This is happening all over the forums. If it's not for sig promotion then it's people trying to increase their post count with useless responses - half the time not even having read the original post properly and with nothing new or valuable to add.

It was a joke and not relevant for that reason... But since people like you don't have a sense of humor, I deleted it. Move along kid.

    English?

    Oh, boyyyyyyyy!
Why is it really tough to face the truth?
What OP mentioned is truth, isn't it?

Note: This is not a lounge post.

Are you seriously here to make fun in a " Forums Suggestions & Feedback" session?

Are you seriously here to cry about a joke? You clearly have no sense of humor. No one was making fun of the suggestion. Everyone knows that this has been a thing people have and will do for a long time, but it is something that the mods are aware of and monitor and take action when necessary. It was just a joke, give it up.

There are no rules saying you can't have a bit of fun/banter outside the Lounge section. We get OP's point. But nothing wrong with joking about it. A slight sense of humour wouldn't hurt :)

Just considered OP's expectation to have relevant discussion because he put some facts in front of us.
More of like Asif's, Proxygo, kickthat reply's might add fuel to the discussion and ultimately lead to a constructive solution..

Sorry Dagreyon, Conor.. I did understand the fun part, lol..

I get that, but I don't think there's going to be any "constructive" solutions. This problem has been around since 2011 and there have been tons of threads like this. The simple answer: if you see someone doing this, just report them.

I understand the concern, but this is a marketing related forum after all... I mean, why not make the use of it , as long as it doesn't go "spam" mode.

Not many gonna like this but...

How about we add restrictions to everyone like... "n" no.of signature posts are allowed per month? Of course we may have privileges to certain core members.. Who obviously don't spam post.

Would that make people think twice before they add their signature to every comment post?
