I just got done having a fairly lengthy discussion with my roommates about people who have children for the sole purpose of getting welfare, Medicaid, etc. What do you think of these people? Since this forum is a place of unethical standards, I find that I would abuse the system if I could. I wouldn't do it for the rest of my life, but I would milk the system for as long as I was in College. My Mother "supposedly" has a mental illness where she hears voices in her head (shes an ex-addict), but I highly doubt this is true. Her checks are about 4x what I make in a month, yet she doesn't work, drives a better car, and lives an all around better lifestyle. I know of individuals who get "Section 8" housing, which is basically free rent, and rent out other rooms they don't use, making, again, 4x what I do. Why do I find myself almost inspired by these people? They obviously think more outside of the box than I ever could. I honestly don't think they care what anyone thinks, after all, they are the ones smiling from afar...

The U.S government screws their own tax paying citizens, so I say screw them back if you wish. The only time it bothers me is when I see hard working people making less them some of these people. My sister attempted "suicide" (accidental drug overdose) when she was 19 or so and got disability benefits from social security for an extremely long time to get her through college. I guess she milked the overdose to claim she was mentally unsound to work. It pissed me off to work and see her make $$$ but she did end up finding a job and eventually got kicked off SS for that reason.

The U.S government screws their own tax paying citizens, so I say screw them back if you can find a loophole and it benefits you in some way. The only time it bothers me is when I see hard working people making less them some of these lazyass people. To be envious or inspired by people who have kids for welfare or live in section 8 housing is sad.

There is nothing inspirational or outside the box about their way of life or thinking. They are bottom feeders who will always remain at the bottom.

It's tough being in college and broke all of time, but it won't last forever.

Don't trade your dignity/self-respect in for a nicer car.
