I’ve been watching videos of older people sharing wisdom recently so I thought I’d ask here.

Two questions for the people 50+ here.

1. What do you wish you’d learnt earlier in your business life?

2. What do you wish you’d learnt earlier in your personal life?

Thanks :)

Oh, lad. I wish I had studied office politics better.
It was back in the early 90s when I as a college graduate got my first desk job. I thought it was going to be easy, that I had the grooves and all that jazz. But boy was I wrong... long story short, knowing office politics is more important
About personal life, don't marry, don't lend money to friends.

1. What do you wish you’d learnt earlier in your business life?
Not being so fckn nice all the time and charge what I needed. Value your time.
2. What do you wish you’d learnt earlier in your personal life?
I learned that most people will fck you over if they can benefit somehow from it. Let people prove their trust before trusting them. People in general are really egoistic mthrfckrs.

Enjoy life while you can, have fun.

Any tips to land a CEOSam Jennifer? :D

Or do I need a £1 bil net worth for that?

As a 24 yr old, I have no idea what i'm doing in this reply tbh.

I've watched too some of those 90+ grandpa videos and the common denominator was I wish to have had more risks taken with my life to do exactly what I wanted.
Heard this a lot when i was working at a hospital as a teenager. Only one shot at life better not waste it.

1. Focus on improving yourself--gym, skills, trade school, the right books, Dale Carnegie, etc.
2. Be bold--read Nietzsche on this subject. Also read 'The Story of Civilization' by Will & Ariel Durant (all 12 volumes). And 'The Gulag Archipelago' by Alexander Solzhenitsyn.
3. Stop fantasizing about women and sex (I know--it's difficult). Don't chase them, and stay away from all bars and nightclubs. Don't drink alcohol or take any drugs, including marijuana. Never watch porn or play video games.
4. Learn the fundamentals of strategic planning for small business. Good books on the subject.
5. Social skills are far more important than education or even hard skills. Sounds terrible, but it's true. Try to improve your social skills--it can be done.
6. Go to church (I know I will get flamed for this).

1. Only point that makes sense for black hat.

Point 5 is important to not die off hunger and get someone to not have to do point 3.

Point 2 won't work for our generation (2000 born and around and further). We can't read books hence in this matter we have no advantage over blind men.

The rest I think belongs to extrimist subreddits or something. Or church as these views sound like taken off some religion.

I fantasize about myself, that I am The God and so on. You can't prove I am not.

Being 30+, I think I learnt a little late about self improvement and the value of money.

I am not over 50 or anywhere near that, but my life advice so far is: Take more risks, don't get stuck in your comfort zone, and hit the gym regularly.

And most importantly, 'Money matters.'

Everyday, alarms for everything.

Back / legs 1 day
2nd day chest / shoulders

30 days a month

Write own software frameworks to create own programs quickly.

Fuck everything that moves and has common sense. Take risk, so you might get a child one day.

Of course if you don't fantasize about women and sex all you'll fantasize about is living in monastery and away from society as there's nothing useful in society beyond personal relationships.

You might become someone like incel or gymcel. Thinking about ladies almost always results in fantasies, so if you want to stop fantasizing, you have to stop thinking of women. And that'll lead you to reddit extremists. At that point you might get depressed and isolate yourself feeling unaccepted by women which is ridiculous to think but that's what happens once you try to reject whole gender.

One of the most popular ways to destroy one's life and cause collapse of civilization / country hammering natural increase is to promote views like this.

I tried it. It doesn't work to not fantasize. Your life will be boring as hell without fantasy and imagination.

If money maker stops dreaming, he will lose touch with big ideas and go white hat then blame it on someone else.

The basis of black hat philosophy is you can do anything as long as it's legal. You don't have to abstain from pleasure to create good life. You don't stop becoming your best version because someone labels what you do as unethical or immoral.

I totally agree with one point on number 3.
Stop fantasying about women and meet them.

The rest I totally disagree with.
Go to a bar meet someone and have a chat with them. People stick to their same friends but it’s always nice to hear about someone else’s life and experiences. You can learn more from having a simple chat with someone than reading a hundred books.
In a bar there will be people from all walks of life and all different opinions.
It seems the art of meeting new people and conversation is dying.

Thumbs up! Get a job and meet millionaires. There's more banking people at jobs than you think. Basstrackerboats was doing offline for a long time and it played out well for him.

No!! At 30 you are still a child (so to speak), Begin today!! Take strong measures in all aspects of your life. You still have plenty of time. But don't waste another single moment!
