Today I had to do some work in a bank in downtown Houston, and I noticed that people looked at me funny all day, almost as if some of them were about to ask some something but decided not to. It was unnerving, like everyone had seen me on the TV as a bank robber or something. I finally figured out why. I have a problem with cataracts, and my vision had gotten so poor that I lost vision in my left eye completely, the cataract was so thick that light couldn't get thru. The one in the right eye is not nearly as bad. I had the surgery last week to fix the left eye. After the surgery the vision in the left eye is so improved that now my glasses interfere with my vision in that eye but are still required for the right eye until I have surgery done on it. So I just removed the left lens from my glasses, I could see great, and I promptly forgot about it. I wonder how many people went home wondering if they should have told that old man they saw at the bank today that his glasses lens had fallen out.
