I noticed since the new penguin Google update, my .info domains have recently increased in rank without doing any SEO. Has anyone else noticed this?

I don't own any .info's, but I've noticed .info's coming from nowhere in some niches where I took a major hit.

G used to treat .info's like shit because they were sold for 99 cents, sometimes free, and spammers mass produced them. But maybe they removed that.

Did (2) info's 3 months ago for a used car biz and another for a boat sales biz (in conjunction with .com and .net) Both .info sites were doing decently but did lag behind the .com/.net. Today, both .info are now ranked ahead of the .com/.net. Even stranger is the fact that the keyword density of the .info home page is double that of the the others (about 4% to 2%).

I think we still need to let the dust settle first before switching to many gears.

My only .info has increased in SERP positions, but I cannot say this is from the update as I have been doing active SEO work on it.

My infos moved up about #6 positions. BUT the thing is, they were not ever meant to be SEO'd etc. Were test domains so I only built like 5 links to them. But definate increase. Weather that's because of lack of promotion or .info, who knows.

Logic would dictate that given the limited .com's available that over time Google MUST begin to trust some other domain also and perhaps .info is seeing a boost due to that fact.

    Right now it's:

    .com
    .net
    .biz
    .info

Is that about right? Or do you feel that .info is a better shot for the money than .biz?

I have 6 .info domains, all of them were ranking on the first page of google for their keywords, all EMD domains.

After the penguin update they are nowhere in top 100.
