Hi,
I own an article site which is connected to a content distribution network and a new content is being pushed to it every day. I just let this site be (the site is deindexed now by the way). I'm using it for another reason. Anyway today I've received an email:
Some people pay for putting their links on your page. Maybe it's time for collection money for r e m o v i n g the links?
"Oh, I will pay, but don't link my site, pleeeeaaaseeee!"

Topic: Removal of toxic linking
Hi Webmaster,
Sorry to bother you, but I am contacting you with regard to the links on your site pointing to our site THESITE. As I'm sure you are aware, Google have made big changes to its link algorithm. Due to the 'unnatural link' alerts that are being sent to Webmasters and the recent Penguin update I would like to request either removing the links from the content, removing the article entirely from your site or making the links 'nofollow', . I have attached a CSV document with detail of the pages that contain links on your site. I would really appreciate your help with this, but please let me know if you have any questions.
Best regards,
X.
